On October 22, 2012 D&M filed a Notice of Intention to make a proposal under the provisions of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act. Pursuant to this process D&M management will be working with the Bowra Group Ltd to locate an investor or purchaser for its assets.

McClanahan books are sold throughout Kentucky and the South in book and gift shops, fine department stores, museums, on national shopping networks, and in a variety of other retail sources.
We are most interested in Ohio nonfiction, particularly Ohio sports nonfiction and biographies and memoirs of notable Ohioans. We will consider nonfiction children's titles through young adult titles when they are regionally focused and curriculum savvy.
Our growing list of genres includes Fiction (who says the short story is dead?), Baseball (satisfying and unusual non-fiction and fiction titles), War Stories (not just blood and guts), Western (the finest cowboys and indians authors alive), Spiritual (Judeo-Christian), and Memoir (unheralded but vital).
Racemaker was founded in 2006 by a group of individuals passionate about automotive history and vintage racing who wanted to produce books that should be out, but aren’t books a major publisher would pick up. Historical accuracy combined with readability are the hallmarks of all of Racemaker Press’ titles. In many ways it’s a scholarly approach rooted in a desire to create compelling and entertaining reads through beautiful, well-made books available at reasonable prices.
The Press publishes 25 to 30 new titles each year and has approximately 400 titles in print. The Press has lists in American liberty and justice; costume and textile studies; history and culture of Texas and the West, the Great Plains, and modern Southeast Asia during and after the Vietnam War; Jewish studies and literature; Latin American and Latino fiction; natural history and natural science; and sport in the American West. In addition, the Press publishes several scholarly journals, series for young readers, the annual winner of the Walt McDonald First-Book Competition in Poetry, and literary fiction of Texas and the West.
