The National Short Story Award aims to promote the best in contemporary British short fiction and has celebrated both established writers and new stars over the last decade.The Award is open to UK residents or nationals, aged 18 or over, who have a history of publication in creative writing.

The story must not exceed eight thousand (8,000) words.
