EAEP wants to partner with authors to get their work into reader’s hands. That means authors are involved in decisions about cover, layout, editorial, promotion and final pricing. We believe no one will be more passionate about your book than you so why wouldn’t we include you?
At Franklin/Kerr, authors have our full attention. Once we accept a manuscript for publication we work with the author each step of the way to produce a well-tuned book ready for the world to devour. This includes getting input from the author on cover design, marketing materials and providing professional editing, formatting, e-book setup and more at no cost to the author. We ask that authors take a proactive role in their book′s success and allow us to take the literary journey along with them.

We tend to publish an eBook first. So far we have followed up all of our full length eBooks with a paper version, but this remains on a case by case basis.
We produce creative and contemporary books by enlisting a balance of established and emerging authors and illustrators guided by a production team of expert editors, designers and production personnel. We enlist publishing talent from across Canada, publish to the national and international markets, and continually strive to creatively promote and market our books.
Committed to quality and sensuality, we’re constantly searching for great writers, steamy story-lines, well-crafted plots, and powerful character development regardless of genre or subgenre and we know that if an author writes what they love and readers will follow!
In 2013, The Story Plant was acquired by Studio Digital CT, LLC, a limited liability company headed by Lou Aronica. With this, Mitchell Maxwell came on board to add his unparalleled blend of creativity, passion, and business acumen. The house is currently in the process of the most aggressive expansion in its history.
Our focus on genre fiction, like science fiction, westerns, and mysteries, means that our stories feature more action and adventure than most lesbian publishers and gay publishers. Many of our books and eBooks feature kick-ass heroines. This means that violence often accompanies them. Our books are not always for the squeamish.
