Launched in 2005 under the name Wordstock, the Portland Book Festival came under the Literary Arts umbrella in 2014 and relaunched in 2015 with more than 80 authors in attendance. Since then, the number of presenters, venues, and pop-ups has continued to grow to accommodate its increasing popularity among local writers, publishers, and book enthusiasts.
