Jersey Festival of Words is a nine-day literary event aiming to promote a love of the written and spoken word across the community and in a variety of styles and settings.

Launched in 2015 the festival features events at Jersey Opera House, Jersey Arts Centre, and Jersey Library, as well as a variety of other locales (including some of the island’s heritage sites). The festival features a wide and varied range of presentations, plus readings and talks from some of our established local writers and poets. In addition to literary events, our festival includes performance poetry, drama, film, music and visual arts, always with words at its heart.
