The competition is open to published and unpublished authors living anywhere in the world and writing in English. Stories must not have been previously published, nor have won a prize in any other competition. They can be in any genre except for children’s and should be no longer than 3,000 words. There is no lower limit.

The entry fee per story is £6 sterling which must be paid: for postal entries by cheque or postal order (not cash) payable to Exeter Writers; or for online entries via PayPal.
