Run in Association with The Authors' Club, the Stanford Dolman Travel Book of the Year is the centrepiece of the Edward Stanford Travel Writing Awards.

The prize, which is judged by a panel of travel writers, celebrates excellence in literary travel writing and is open to authors from all across the world.

The entry must be a full-length travel book. It may be self-published, it may exist as an e-book, it may have been etched on rock or hand-drawn in gold on purple vellum, but the judges will only consider books that have been printed on paper and delivered to them by the last day of February
