The Hackmatack Children’s Choice Book Award is a literary program designed for young readers and based in Atlantic Canada. Thousands of children in grades four to six read from the selection of outstanding Canadian books and vote for their favourites each year.
To be eligible, books must be from a Canadian publisher or self-published (in print) by a Canadian author, have been published in Canada within the last two years and be appropriate for readers ages 8-11 (grades 4 to 6)
