The SFPA Speculative Poetry Contest is open to all poets, including those who are not members of the SFPA. Prizes will be awarded for the best unpublished poem in three categories: Dwarf (1 to 10 lines or prose poems of 0 to 100 words), Short (11 to 49 lines or prose poems of 101 to 499 words), and Long (50 lines and above or prose poems of 500 words and up). Please note that the line count does not include the title or stanza breaks, and all sub-genres of speculative poetry are welcome in any form.
