Gladfest is Gladstone Library’s flagship festival. Billed as the friendliest festival on the UK literary scene, it is a different kind of event: there are no green rooms, no VIP tickets and there is no exclusivity. We aim to keep our prices affordable for anybody who wants to come, and we welcome all attendees - including people who want to dip in and try something they have never tried before.

Inaugurated in 2013, the festival has welcomed thousands of attendees over the years, and has consistently offered a varied programme, from storytelling to sell-out author talks, from bibliotherapy to live drama, from panels to interactive activities.
