The Beautiful Blackbird Children’s Book Festival is an annual event that celebrates children’s literature created by and featuring Black people. It aims to support professional and emerging artists of African descent. The festival includes live events across Maine, such as book readings, interactive exhibits, and performances. The festival also hosts the 3000+ Book Giveaway, providing free books to Maine children.
