The Shreve Memorial Library Children's Book Festival is held annually on the first Saturday of May in conjunction with Children's Book Week. The family-friendly festival welcomes children of all ages to celebrate the joy of reading. The event is free to the public and features both local and national children's authors and illustrators, costumed characters, interactive games and activities for children, a Literacy Lane featuring community partners, great food and lots of fun
