Desert Institute and Joshua Tree National Park Association present the first-ever Joshua Tree Writers Festival on Saturday, December 14! Featuring six workshops and themed author panels, this will be an event to not miss! Local author and professor, Ruth Nolan, has curated the event with family-friendly activities, including haiku for children, and creative writing about the Mojave Desert. Highlights will include a veteran-focused workshop, Native American storytelling, and a panel of LGBTQIA writers. The day in Joshua Tree will conclude with a showcase of celebrated desert writers during dinner.
