The Upper Peninsula Publishers & Authors Association (UPPAA) is an organization founded in 1998 with the purpose of supporting and encouraging networking and idea exchange among authors, publishers, and literary enthusiasts in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

Participation in Literary Activities:

UP Reader: Members can participate in the annual UP Reader, which showcases literary works related to the Upper Peninsula.

Dandelion Cottage Contest: Authors can enter their students’ short stories in the Dandelion Cottage Contest.

UP Book Review: Members can submit their books for consideration in the UP Book Review.

Book Catalog: Authors can also submit their books to be included in the UPPAA’s Book Catalog.

Recognition: UPPAA honors outstanding U.P. authors through its U.P. Notable Books List, which features the best U.P. books each year.
