Lake Superior Writers is one of the largest and most active literary organizations in our area. We work to foster writing communities, provide an audience for literature, and further the artistic development of writers through workshops, readings, and publications.

NorthWords. Members receive a monthly e-mail calendar of literary/artistic events and notifications of LSW-sponsored events.
Writing Contest. Members’ entry fee is waived for entering this annual contest.
Networking. LSW hosts a monthly virtual Writers’ Café that brings together fellow writers to discuss topics on writing, publishing and navigating the writing life.
Discounts on Classes, Workshops, and Events. Members receive reduced entry fees to LSW workshops and special events. These opportunities can inspire and help writers in the development of craft.
Annual Membership Event. Every May all LSW members are invited to an annual event with a keynote speaker, highlights of the year to come, readings from winning Writing Contest winners and and opportunity to connect with other writers.
