Character Publishing sparked into being when a mother of four avid readers decided to take a more active role in the molding of her children's characters through strategic book selection. Since most publishing houses and bookstores categorize children's books by genres or age groups, it was particularly difficult and time consuming to choose books for her children which taught particular values, skills, and ideas.
Realizing that very few parents have time to sift through the descriptions of each children' book before purchase, much less to pre-read each book to decipher its content, this mother of four decided to create her own publishing world. At Character Publishing, the books are categorized by the qualities that they enhance in your child, taking the mystery (and riskiness) out of shopping for children's books.
