Harvard Square Editions (HSE) is a publishing house run by Harvard alumni that grew out of the Harvard Alumni Association group, Harvard Writers and Publishers. HSE is looking for literary fiction with a social or environmental message. Its mission is to publish fiction that transcends national boundaries, especially manuscripts that are international, political, literary, sci-fi, fantasy, utopia and distopia. We appreciate aesthetic value and constructive social or political content, especially manuscripts related to climate change, deforestation, and conservation.
Harvard alum Editor in Chief David Landau heads up the Editorial Board, which oversees the process of selecting manuscripts for publication with the help of feminist playwright Susan Rubin and other board members.
Note: Don't assume that because a publisher is listed in a genre, that your book is a good fit for their publishing program. Take the time to research the books each publisher has released to find the best matches.
