Racemaker was founded in 2006 by a group of individuals passionate about automotive history and vintage racing who wanted to produce books that should be out, but aren't books a major publisher would pick up. Historical accuracy combined with readability are the hallmarks of all of Racemaker Press' titles. In many ways it's a scholarly approach rooted in a desire to create compelling and entertaining reads through beautiful, well-made books available at reasonable prices.
Our mission is to make learning and teaching English and Spanish an experience that is motivating, enriching, and effective for both teachers and students. In a collaborative effort with authors, editors, teachers, and students, we create instructional materials that meet needs of modern-day students throughout the United States.
Tamarind is now integrated into Random House Children's Publishers UK, which is part of The Random House Group which is a Penguin Random House Company. Penguin Random House is the world's first truly global trade book publisher. It was formed on July 1, 2013, upon the completion of an agreement between Bertelsmann and Pearson to merge their respective trade publishing companies, Random House and Penguin.
