As a traditional publishing house, Amberjack Publishing’s mission is to search far and wide for the best stories being written today and connect them to readers all around the world with the highest quality books.
Our specialty is books on the outdoors, in the widest possible definition of the term, with titles on everything from golf to sailing. Our list of saltwater fishing titles is particularly extensive, and we have a distinguished lineup of books on military history, food and wine, gardening and outdoor living, adventure travel, and other topics, soon including books on various aspects of life in the Finger Lakes.
Established in 1869 as the first American university press, shortly after the founding of Cornell, the press embodies and advances the university's core values by disseminating fundamental and practical knowledge, while commanding its own distinct editorial profile. The press, as part of a land-grant institution, is also dedicated to transforming research into publications that reach and benefit the wider public.
Works published under its imprints reflect a commitment to excellence through rigorous evaluation, skillful editing, thoughtful design, strategic marketing, and global outreach.
Our books are consistent with basic Judeo-Christian values, advocate the dignity of life, and aim to share the rich experience of the Catholic people, their brothers, sisters, and friends around the globe and in history. Our catalog includes the most stellar writings on spiritual tradition, discipline and formation; writings in support of family life, community building and personal and professional development; and writings of academic brilliance in search of theological and mystical truth.
We publish monographs, critical editions, collections, translations, revisionist studies, constructive essays, bibliographies, dictionaries, reference guides and dissertations.
Our rotating editorial panel shares the responsibility for selecting, designing and promoting the books we produce. We currently publish two titles per year. Futurepoem also occasionally invites writers or multi-genre artists to produce work for special projects that is then documented in print or via other media.
On April 4, 2016 Rosen Publishing announced an exclusive agreement with Gale, a part of Cengage Learning, for rights to the Greenhaven Press, Lucent Books, and KidHaven Press imprints. We enjoy catering to under-served people and subject matter with the vast majority of our books. Often, our stories feature interracial families and people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures who deal with complex problems not often covered in the vast majority of modern literature.
Leading brands include Standard & Poor's, McGraw-Hill Education, Platts energy information services and J.D. Power and Associates.
We publish unusual books (fiction and non-fiction, in English, Esperanto, and German).
It furthers the University's objective of excellence in research,
scholarship, and education by publishing worldwide.
In general, the emphasis of the editorial for our handbooks is on pharmacologic management of a given medical condition, including clinical trial data, drug prescribing information, selection of appropriate patients, and drug side effects and interactions. Treatment options are delineated, typically in algorithmic form. Professional society and government treatment guidelines are presented and critiqued where applicable. Clinical pearls and pitfalls are imparted to the reader by the authors based on their experience. Relevant pathophysiology is presented along with differential diagnostic tools and criteria. A general approach to the patient is presented, often with case studies, in conjunction with a discussion of practical patient management issues.
We believe that students become enthusiastic, independent, life-long learners, and accomplished readers and writers, when supported and guided by skillful teachers.
Specializing in circulating reference material aimed at school and public libraries, Rosen titles are the gold standard in guidance, social studies, history, science, and mathematics, as well as general high interest topics for children and young adults.
